General Purpose: The User Experience Designer is responsible for overseeing usability requirements and creating all user experience deliverables (web design solutions to meet project objectives, wire frames, web site navigation, design revisions based on usability test results). The primary function of a User Experience Designer is to increase usability and end user satisfaction of Paychex' web based applications. Collaborating closely with end users, business unit stakeholders, business analysts, content strategists, web developers, and project managers, the user experience designer is critical to defining the user experience, layout, processes, and workflows for web sites and applications developed by the Enterprise Web Management department.
Bachelor's degree required with 1-3 years experience, preferably in Graphic Design, Business or related field. Possesses outstanding skills in user interface (UI) and interaction design. Possesses exceptional oral and written communication and customer interaction skills. Knowledge of CSS, HTML, and XML/XSLT. Knowledge of Adobe technologies such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Fireworks and prototyping tools like Axure.
