Builds partnerships with technology partners to ensure defect-free implementation of client-side design solution. Designs high-level user flows, navigation systems, and detailed page schematics. Designs visual compositions and develops specifications and assets consistent with brand standards. Creates and edits content consistent with brand standards. Specific Description:
Bank of America's Online & Mobile Solutions User Experience team is seeking an experienced Usability Engineer to work with the Global Wealth Management User Experience (UX) team. Responsibilities include planning, executing and reporting out on user research. This position is for an experienced financial services usability engineer to work on the client facing mobile and web brokerage experiences.

The UX Usability Engineer is responsible for creating research plans, executing research, summarizing and presenting findings to User Experience teammates, business partners and other stakeholders.

The right candidate must have experience across different types of quantitative and qualitative user research, including surveys, usability testing, contextual inquiry, affinity diagramming, card sorting, expert (heuristic) reviews, etc. and be able to balance working on various projects on both the online and mobile client experience. The Usability Engineer will collaborate with interaction designers, visual designers, editorial and prototypers on the UX team to plan and execute user research that will ultimately inform design and ensure an intuitive customer experience.

Knowledge about best practices in design and usability, and experience across usability testing tools, techniques and methodologies is required. Strong moderation and facilitation skills a must.

Usability Engineer candidates preferably has experience performing research for financial web sites as well as proficiency in user centered design and best practices in mobile and web. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication and persuasion skills, and be able to effectively present the overall usability findings to teammates and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Skills:
    * 5-7 plus years usability research experience
    * Degree in usability engineering, HCI or related field
    * Strong conceptual design, collaborative, and organizational skills
    * Must be an experienced producer of wire framing web documentation using Visio, html prototyping, inDesign and other IA tools;
    * Demonstrated experience with Adobe CS3 implementation and optimization strongly preferred
    * Demonstrated web Design Skills and the ability to UX project Lead a web project
    * Knowledge of web development process

    * Demonstrated strong financial services/brokerage mobile and web usability skills
    * Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of associates and management within the organization.
